Used as a carrier/purge gas for a range of analytical instruments including flame Ionization Detector (FID); Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD); Electron Capture Detector (ECD); Flame Photometric Detector (FPD); Fourier Trasform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR).
