This makes it simpler to connect the ground on a variety of steel shapes, such as square and rectangular tubing, I-beams, channel, and angle iron, as well as massive weldments that can be challenging to connect with a standard ground clamp. The magnet has sufficient strength to remain above a vertical surface. An improvement that every welder should make!
