From the name, cylindrical roller bearings use tiny cylinders as supposed to ball rings. The cylinders are slightly greater in length than diameter. Cylindrical rollers have a greater radial load capacity and they are designed to withstand relatively faster speeds than other styles of roller bearings.

There are three types of Cylindrical Roller Bearings;

Single row, double row and multi row roller bearing. The multi-row has the most radial load capacity as well as accommodate the most speed.
