Description
Caltex Compressor Oil EP VDL 100 (20L)
Tikweld products and services is the distributor and supplier of Caltex Lubricants in Nigeria. Caltex Compressor Oil EP VDL 100 is a mineral compressor lubricant, blended from selected high-quality paraffinic base oils, supported with a well-balanced additive package to provide reliable oxidation resistance, corrosion protection and extreme pressure performance.
Application of Caltex Compressor Oil EP VDL 100
Compressor Oil EP VDL 100 is recommended for:
- Single-stage and multi-stage reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, and oil flooded screw compressors operating at high temperatures of up to 220o C
- Air or inert gas reciprocating compressors
- Stationary, semi-portable and portable units
Note: Not recommended for use in breathing air compressors
Features and Benefits
- Compressor Oil EP VDL delivers stable high temperature oxidation resistance with reduced deposit formation on pistons and valves, excellent corrosion protection, foam inhibition, and extreme pressure performance.
- Potential maintenance and downtime savings: Effective corrosion inhibition protects against rust caused by moisture entering the system, particularly during shutdown and intermittent operation.
- Oxidative and thermal stability:High temperature oxidation stability resists oil breakdown at high discharge temperatures in compressor crankcase applications.
- Smooth operation:Effective anti-foam properties of the highly refined base oil and inhibitor system minimize the possibility of foaming and overflow in tanks and reservoirs.
- Low Evaporation Loss:The oil’s low evaporation rate guarantees minimum consumption.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. VDL compressor oil: what is it?
These are premium extended-life compressor fluids that are meant to provide strong and dependable oxidation and corrosion resistance together with extreme pressure (EP) wear protection. They are made using premium paraffinic base oils and a blend of additives.
2. Why does my compressor oil contain water?
It exists because there is a lot of water in the atmosphere of our planet. The following are the primary causes of water in an air compressor: Ambient Air Humidity: If there is a lot of humidity in the area around the compressor intake, some water will probably enter the compressor before any filtering happens.
3. Are they variety of compressor oils?
Standard oil, often known as mineral oil, and synthetic oil are the two primary varieties of compressor oil. Normal Compressor Oil (Mining). Compared to synthetic compressor oil, standard compressor oil is less expensive and is manufactured from a mineral foundation. Compared to synthetic oil, mineral oil is more flammable and prone to evaporation.
